WB immediately asked, “What is it?”

“David, you look like something just clicked. How does it feel overall?”

David fell silent for a moment to collect his thoughts.
“I think the third one is… ‘Intention.’
And when I look at something through the lens of ‘Relationship – Action – Intention,’
I start sensing a kind of life force that goes beyond its physical properties.

It’s like nothing exists as just a material object with an outward form.
Depending on the relationships it exists within, how it acts,
and what intention lies behind its existence,
it can appear completely different.
Sometimes… it even feels alive.
And there are things that are physically alive, yet feel lifeless.
I think I’m beginning to understand that.”

WB clapped his hands in excitement.
“David, you nailed the heart of it!
Now take a look at that round table and those chairs.
What do they feel like to you?”

David looked at them with new eyes and answered with confidence.
“Well… they may be inanimate objects,
but somehow I can sense a kind of life in them!
It’s like they’re not just physically constructed pieces of furniture.”

LN puzzled, “So what exactly do you mean?”

David replied with awe,
“They seem to be more than a physical place to gather.
It’s as if they’re here with the intention of creating something—
a space where things can emerge, unfold, and come alive.
That’s why they feel almost alive to me!”

MR nodded.
“David, sensing life in something inanimate means
you’re recognizing meaning in its relational dimension.”

And S beamed.
“That’s an amazing discovery in such a short time! Congratulations!”

The others broke into applause to celebrate with him.

Then WB smiled and said,
“Well then, shall we sit down at the round table?”

Everyone walked over and took their seats.

데이비드는 다섯 친구와 함께 집 안으로 들어가자, 넓은 거실에, 여섯 명이 모일 수 있는 원탁 테이블과 의자를 본다. 데이비드는 걷던 걸음을 잠시 멈추고서, 다섯 친구에게 “이제야 알겠어, 그 세 번째가… 무엇인지를!” 하고 기쁜 듯이 말한다.

WB친구가 “그게 뭔데?” 하고 곧바로 반문한다.

그리고 LB친구가 “데이비드, 뭔가 깨달은 것 같은데, 전체적으로 어떤 느낌이야?” 하고 궁금한 듯이 묻는다.

데이비드는 잠시 생각에 잠기더니 “그 나머지는… ‘의도’인 거 같아… 그리고 이러한 “‘관계’-‘작용’-‘의도’” 측면에서 어떤 대상을 살펴보게 되니 그것의 물리적 특성을 넘어 진정한 생명력을 느낄 수 있는 거 같아. 말하자면 어떤 사물도 단순히 외형적인 특성을 띠는 물질 차원에서만 머무르는 게 아니라, 그것이 어떤 관계 속에서 어떻게 작용하는지, 그리고 어떤 의도를 가지고 존재하는지에 따라 완전히 다르게 보일 수 있겠구나 하는 생각. 그러다 보면… 그게 정말 살아 있는 존재처럼 느껴지기도 하는 거야. 그리고 물리적인 속성으로는 살아있지만 죽은 목숨이나 마찬가지인 경우도 있잖아. 그걸 알게 되는 거 같아” 하고 대답한다.

WB친구가 “데이비드, 핵심적인 거를 간파했구나! 이젠 우리가 앉을 원탁 테이블과 의자를 한번 살펴 봐! 어떤 느낌이야?” 하고 묻는다.

이에 대해 데이비드는 “음… 비롯 이들이 무생물체이지만 이들에게서 왠지 생명력이 느껴져! 외형적으로 단순한 물질적 속성만을 지닌 원탁 테이블과 의자가 아닌 거 같아!”라고 확신하듯이 말한다.

LN친구가 “그렇다면, 뭐라는 건가?” 하고 반문한다.

그러자 데이비드는 “이들은 단순히 모이는 자리로서의 존재를 넘어 뭔가를 창조해내게 하려는 공간으로서의 역할을 수행하려는 거 같애. 그래서 이들이 살아있는 생명체처럼 느껴져!” 하고 놀랜다.

MR친구는 “데이비드, 무생물체인 이들에게서 생명력을 느낀다는 것은 관계적인 측면에서 의미를 발견한 거나 마찬가지지” 한다.

그리고 S친구가 “데이비드, 짧은 시간에 대단한 발견이야! 축하해!” 한다. 다른 친구들은 함께 축하의 박수를 쳐준다.

WB친구가 “이젠, 그만, 우리, 원탁 테이블로 가서 자리를 잡아 앉을까?” 하고 제안하자. 다들 가서 자리를 잡아 앉는다.

WB flashed him a meaningful smile.

“David, everything you’ve sensed so far is only the beginning.
When you look wider and go deeper,
you’ll start realizing far more than you expect—almost without noticing.”

David, intrigued, looked back at him.
“What do you mean by that?”

WB chuckled softly.
“Just experience it for yourself.
On the right side of your glasses, there’s a small button.
Go ahead and press it.”

David, wearing a slightly puzzled expression, raised his hand and felt along the frame.
His fingers found the tiny button.
He hesitated for a breath, then pressed it gently.

In that very moment—
a completely new world burst open before his eyes.

데이비드는 다소 의아한 표정을 지으며 손을 들어 안경테를 더듬는다. 그리고 조그마한 버튼을 발견하고 조심스럽게 누른다.
그 순간, 그의 눈앞에 새로운 세계가 활짝 펼쳐진다.

David gasped, eyes widening.
“Whoa! What is this?!” he shouted in astonishment.

WB leaned forward eagerly.
“What do you see?”

David blinked, as if trying to steady himself.
“This is… what is this…?”

Before him, an entirely new world unfolded—
layers upon layers of interwoven tiers,
each one linked to another,
with streams of indescribable life-energy flowing between them.

It was a world he could never have seen, sensed, or even imagined
before putting on the glasses.

“One… two… three…
No—this is… eleven!
I’m seeing eleven dimensions!”

His voice trembled with excitement, awe,
and pure, overwhelming wonder.

WB친구가 “뭐가 보여?” 하고 묻는다.

데이비드는, 자신의 눈앞에 이전과는 완전히 다른 새로운 세계가 펼쳐지는 걸 본다. 복잡하게 연결된 층들, 서로 연결된 층 사이로 말로 형용할 수 없는 생명 에너지의 흐름을 느낀다. 안경을 쓰기 전에는 전혀 볼 수 없었고, 느끼지 못했고, 상상조차 할 수 없었던 그런 세계이다.

“하나… 둘… 셋… 아니, 이건… 열하나! 열한(11) 개의 차원이 보여!”

데이비드의 목소리에는 흥분과 경이로움과 놀라움이 뒤섞여 있다.
